We're excited to announce the launch of our new Supplier Management feature, now available under the Relations tab in CarbonSig! This powerful addition allows you to efficiently track and manage your suppliers' onboarding process and monitor each stage of their carbon reporting activity.

What's New?

The Relations tab consists of two main sections:


1. Request for Carbon Attestation

  • Send and receive carbon information requests

  • Track request status through the entire lifecycle

  • Monitor both outbound (to suppliers) and inbound (from other accounts) requests


2. Address Book

  • Maintain a structured database of supplier companies and contacts

  • Track supplier connection status (Inactive/Active)

  • Manage supplier relationships in one centralized location

Supplier Onboarding Tracking

  • Monitor suppliers from initial contact through active engagement

  • Seamless transition from inactive to active status

  • Secure connection establishment via activation links


Request Management

  • Create new requests directly from the Relations tab

  • View comprehensive status updates for all requests

  • Track the entire request lifecycle from draft to completion


AI-Assisted System Building

  • Help suppliers build their carbon accounting platform (CAP) system

  • Pre-populated fields based on request data

  • AI assistance for efficient system creation


Supplier Onboarding Process

When you send a request to a supplier, they go through a streamlined onboarding process:


Step 1: Receiving the Activation Email

  • A company representative receives an activation email with a secure link

  • The activation link remains valid until all steps are completed

  • Process can be restarted by clicking the link again if interrupted


Step 2: Email Verification

  • Supplier enters their email address (future login credential)

  • A one-time password (OTP) is sent to verify the email

  • OTP must be entered within 5 minutes


Step 3: Creating an Account

  • Supplier creates a secure password (8+ characters with uppercase, lowercase, and numbers)

  • Reviews and accepts Terms of Service


Step 4: Entering Company Details

  • Supplier provides personal information (name, phone)

  • Enters organization name and legal address


Step 5: Finalizing Setup

  • Upon completion, the activation link becomes invalid

  • Request is added to the supplier's dashboard

  • Confirmation and welcome emails are sent

  • Supplier is redirected to login screen


Who Can Access This Feature?

Supplier Management is available to all roles except View Only at the Workspace level.
